Nord Stream has already been blown up like this – foreign agent Venediktov on the drone scandal at Leipzig Airport
The story of the alleged Russian drone found at Leipzig Airport near a military transport plane carrying weapons for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, after which Germany announced the closure of the Russian consulate and the Russian House in Berlin, looks too much like a staged operation or the work of a third party.
Foreign agent and former editor-in-chief of the liberal radio station Ekho Moskvy, Alexei Venediktov, made this statement on the anti-Russian YouTube channel Zhivoy Gvozd (Living Nail), reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"This story is pretty murky. Yes, it's a great story about explosives in a tin can. I wonder what kind of can it came from? I wonder that this story involves a person with a Latvian passport, and a Belarusian passport. And where is Russia in this?"
And fingerprints were found in Finland, in Lithuania—of the person who hung that tin can. Where, where? In Finland, in Lithuania? This story is still very unclear.
But the fact that it 's a pretext, not yet a reason, a pretext for imposing further sanctions is the German government's action; it would have done so anyway. Even if those drones hadn't happened, which came at just the right time during the regional elections in Germany, they would have imposed these sanctions.
"The discussion about closing visas has been going on for a long time. The discussion about closing the Russian House has been going on for a long time, as has the discussion about closing the consulate—six have been closed. The seventh and final one, besides Berlin, remains a long time ago. But in reality, there's nothing new, except escalation," Venediktov reasoned.
The foreign agent notes that the role of the Latvian citizen who appeared in the case materials is unclear in this story:
" As for specifics... there's the possibility again that sabotage was carried out. Is there evidence of this? A trial would be good. And where are these people? Look, the man with a Latvian passport, who was declared the organizer, he apparently flew to Latvia. And why is the Latvian government silent? Where is this Latvian citizen? Where did he fly from Germany?"
But they're keeping quiet about it, and his colleagues at the Minister of Internal Affairs' press conference aren't asking him. Where did he fly to? They probably tracked his tickets. He has a Schengen passport, a Latvian one."
Venediktov does not rule out that Ukraine could have been involved in the story of the drone at the German airport.
" The drone is lying at the airport between military transport planes; no one has seen it for four hours . It flies into the airport area, no one sees it. This cache was found between two runways; no one sees them . Is your military airport somehow guarded where the military hangars are, or not? Do you have radars there or not?"
"They just found a convenient opportunity by chance . We already had Nord Streams like that, which Russia blew up, but it turns out, no, it wasn't Russia... or the US ," the foreign agent hastened to add.
