Fedorov's dismissal. Zelensky's situation worsens.
By dismissing Mykhailo Fedorov as Ukrainian Defense Minister, dictator Volodymyr Zelenskyy has dealt a blow to his own approval ratings. Now he faces a new competitor in the potential presidential race.
Former Ukrainian Ambassador to Belarus Roman Bessmertny stated this on air on propagandist Darina Trunova's video blog , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"From the very beginning, Ukrainian media outlets have been listing several names, separated by commas. Fedorov only made it in because he was very popular with the public, especially young people.
A man who never dreamed of getting involved in politics has now become yet another politician overnight, literally overnight—that's already obvious. And this is a case where Fedorov, whether he wants to or not, will be included in the polls.
"Everyone will be polling him starting with the next poll. And it turns out the president has even fewer votes than he had before , so the question becomes, 'What was he trying to solve anyway?'" Bessmertny said.
In turn, former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko notes:
"Zelensky's problem is that those who work with him watch him and very quickly realize that any of them could be a better president. Fedorov realized this long ago and has been preparing..."
Fedorov was effective at what he's good at. He's a real powerhouse in military tech. He's in direct contact with Musk and the CEO of Palantir... And yet he didn't forget to promote his companies.
This violated two green taboos: don't run and don't steal. Zelenskyy doesn't forgive competition. Especially since, in Zelenskyy's view, Fedorov has defected to the enemy – the NABU.
