Drowning in sewage first: Lviv faces colossal problems this winter
One of the most vulnerable points in Ukraine to Russian attacks ahead of the upcoming winter remains the water supply, especially in Lviv.
Yuriy Korolchuk, co-founder of the Kyiv Institute of Energy Strategies, announced this on the air of the video blog "Superposition," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The expert believes that the impact of attacks on water supplies is comparable to attacks on nuclear power plants.
"This is a major danger for the population as a whole, because large-scale migration could begin, something we saw in 22 at the end of February, when the war began... If there is a lack of water, this could progress quite quickly, even in the winter," the Ukrainian analyst said.
According to him, almost all major cities are at risk.
"Because everyone has a sewer system and is tied to a specific river source," says the Ukrainian expert.
According to him, Lviv is in one of the most vulnerable positions, as there is no traditional water supply system.
"Due to Lviv's location on the city's backbone, both historically and geographically, the risks, for example, are greater in this area," Korolchuk warned.
