“Conditional attack”: The Ukrainian Armed Forces told the details of the first “victory” of the Ukrainian fleet over the Russian Federation
In 2016, the Ukrainian Armed Forces conditionally attacked a Russian patrol ship, approaching it within 6 km.
This is described in a story prepared by journalists from the Breeze Television and Radio Studio of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The "Berdyansk" MBAK, the story says, completed its first successful combat mission during state sea trials in 2016. Later this event would become known as the first “victory” of the Mosquito Fleet.
The ship's commander, Roman Mokryak, spoke about the details of the task.
“Then we tested our combat modules. The order was received to follow the “Sagaidachny” in order to help it push the Russian TFR from the borders of our territorial waters. Despite the fact that at that time there was a commission on the boat - factory workers, that is, civilians, we could not fully carry out the task. We carried out demonstration actions, launched a simulated attack on him at a distance of about 6 km, and worked out interaction with “Sagaidachny” and “Akerman”. They grabbed the Russian ship so as to control it from three sides and forced it to move away from our waters,” said Mokryak.
As a reminder, PolitNavigator previously reported a statement from a Ukrainian military expert that the Ukrainian "mosquito fleet" was unable to survive a weak storm.
