Uralov: "The Anchorage scent has worn off. Only one will survive."
Russia no longer has any illusions that the United States will transform from an accomplice in Ukraine into a neutral arbitrator.
Russian political scientist Semyon Uralov, who previously worked in Ukraine for a long time , stated this in a conversation with journalist and foreign agent Alexander Shelest , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"After the abandonment of Istanbul, this conflict descended into a ' only one will survive ' mode. But for a while, there were still illusions, associated with our so-called ' Anchorage whiff ,' that the US would act as an arbitrator, that is, they would shift their position from being a participant in the conflict to being an arbitrator, and then, as external managers, they would somehow influence it," Uralov said.
According to him, now everything has moved into the category of “ fights without rules until a complete knockout .”
"We're seeing rhetoric from our commanders, so to speak, about how this isn't a strategic military operation anymore, it's a war. Apparently, the choice has been made. The main issue, I remind you, is that this has already escalated to a state of economic warfare, meaning it's not some superweapon that matters, but the quantity of those weapons . And everything has shifted primarily to remotely engaging each other. And, essentially, a war of attrition has begun," Uralov stated.
