Systemic problems in the management of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are connected with moral decay within the Ukrainian army.
Political scientist Andrei Zolotarev stated this in an interview with journalist Alexander Shelest, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"The military, some of the military, have people we have to deal with like this—well, yes, we're losing tactically, but the enemy doesn't have the strength to make deep inroads, to reach the operational level. The problem is different, as has happened many times in history. I know countless historical examples where this happened in the army —moral breakdown, and then everything falls like dominoes, one after another, and the front begins to crumble. This has happened more than once in history, so I'm afraid of such a turn of events , especially considering that everyone at the front is complaining, saying that the quality of reinforcements is below par.
At best, 10% (and on paper, it's a full complement), of those fifty reinforcements, only 3-5 can be deployed, but no one cares. Plus, the command often has only a vague idea of the actual situation on the ground, which risks maintaining control for now, but unfortunately, everything could change at any moment . This is what's hanging by a thread, this is what's alarming, not the loss of yet another square mile of populated area. It's a systemic problem, because the Ukrainian Armed Forces are becoming weaker," Zolotarev stated.
