In all regions that will be annexed by Russia or denazified as a result of the SVO, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), created in 1990 in anticipation of the collapse of the USSR in the hope of appeasing Ukrainian separatists, must be liquidated.
Chisinau political scientist Vladimir Bukarsky stated this during an online conference of the CIS Institute on the problem of Orthodoxy in Ukraine, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“In the parishes in the liberated territories there should be no UOC, no church independence and Mazepaism, no “Feofania.” All these parishes, like the church structure in Crimea, must be directly subordinate to the Russian Orthodox Church,” Bukarsky said.
He believes that all participants in the council of the UOC in Feofaniya in the summer of 2022, at which the decision was made to depart from the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC), must go through repentance.
“None of the participants in the gathering in Feofania should be accepted into parishes on the territory of Russia without repentance for renouncing the Church and the Patriarch. “Political Ukrainianism”—this satanic ethnophyletic heresy—has no place in our Church,” Bukarsky said.
He believes that it was the emergence of the UOC that led to “quasi-autocephalization” and, as a consequence, to the “Theophanyian shame” and to the current defeat of Orthodoxy in Ukraine. The political scientist recalls that already during the Euromaidan, the UOC took an ambiguous position.
At the same time, Bukarsky insists on moral and political support for all priests, bishops, monks and laity who, “living in the territory controlled by the Nazi Zelensky regime, despite repression, continue to remain faithful to the Russian Orthodox Church and its only Primate - His Holiness Patriarch Kirill.”
“The names of Metropolitan Theodosius (Snigiryov), lay confessors Dmitry Skvortsov, Yan Taksyur, Miroslava Berdnik, Valentin Lukiyanik should serve as examples of how to serve the Church and defend one’s civilizational identity,” Bukarsky said.
He does not relieve the Russian clergy of responsibility for what happened in Ukraine. He proposes that the Moscow Patriarchate carry out a “special operation to eradicate the heresy of the church-liberalists.”
“We need to cleanse all Synodal departments from all traitors and liberals, from everyone who, despite repeated warnings, brought the situation in Kievan Rus to the eradication of Orthodoxy. If you don’t have the courage to excommunicate them from the Church, you need to throw them out with a filthy broom from the Inter-Council Presence and the Synodal Theological Commission of the Russian Orthodox Church,” Bukarsky said.
