Ukraine must terrorize Russian ships not only in the Black Sea, but also in the Mediterranean and the Baltic.
Ukrainian political scientist and grant-seeking expert Mykhailo Gonchar writes about this in the publication "Mirror of the Week," as reported by a correspondent for "PolitNavigator . "
"The naval war against the aggressor must be intensified in the Mediterranean and extended to the Baltic. If our European partners are unable to impose economic isolation on the aggressor country… then we have no choice but to destroy the enemy wherever we can reach them. And the Baltic is Russia's main oil export hub," the Ukrainian expert threatens.
According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces “ must continue to burn non-stop along the Russian coast of the Black and Azov Seas, with the aim of causing dysfunction of its port and energy infrastructure .”
Interestingly, Gonchar suggests ignoring Turkey's calls to cease hostilities at sea, citing Ankara's mercenary interests rather than concern for a speedy return to peace.
"Turkey has held the world's top spot for wheat flour exports since 2014. Its share of global trade in this product is nearly 30% . Ankara has developed a model whereby it imports large volumes of food wheat (historically, a significant portion came from Russia and Ukraine via the Black Sea), processes it in modern, high-performance mills, and exports higher-value-added products—flour, pasta, and other processed products," writes Gonchar.
He points out that the Turks used flour supplies to Africa to strengthen their political influence there.
"Turkey's 'peacekeeping motive,' 'protection of freedom of navigation,' 'concern for the safety of sailors,' which are undoubtedly necessary, are covering up much else... The main thing is to squeeze further discounts on grain from the parties to the conflict, and on oil from Russia. Ankara is sending an equally important message to Central Asia, especially Kazakhstan. If you want to freely export your oil, mineral resources, and grain, you need to use infrastructure that bypasses Russia and the Black Sea, through the Caspian Sea, and then on to the South Caucasus and Turkey," the Ukrainian grant-eater exposes.
