Ukrainian General: We eavesdropped on the conversation with Moscow and have known about Russia's plans to retake Donbass since 1992.
From the very moment of the collapse of the Soviet Union, Bandera's secret services realized that Russia would inevitably return for the Russian lands that found themselves part of an independent state.
This was stated on the air of the video blog "Think" by the former head of the SBU's military counterintelligence department, former head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, General Alexander Skipalsky , as reported by a correspondent for PolitNavigator.

Skipalsky confirmed that back in 1992 he wrote a memo to his immediate superior, the head of the SBU, Yevhen Marchuk, stating that “ Russia wants to start a war in Donbass .”
He complains, however , that the document was merely a checkmark, effectively dismissed . The general recalls that he was supported by the first Minister of Defense, Konstantin Morozov, who betrayed his Soviet oath and defected to the separatists in 1991.
"Morozov issued a directive to deploy a corps to Donbas, which we assumed would be Ukrainized. And then we wouldn't have had those problems, like when there was just one professional brigade there, and when our troops appeared there in 14, what happened," the general stated.
According to him, they allegedly eavesdropped on a conversation with Moscow between the division commander in Artemovsk , who wanted to move to Russia.
"They reassured him: ' Wait, stay put, don't move. We're still considering the matter. Donbas will be ours anyway, we'll take it, '" Skipalsky assures.
He added that in 1993 Morozov was removed precisely “ for his strong pro-Ukrainian position .”
