Ukrainian General: "The Drapaty won't save us – there's no one to fight."
Due to a catastrophic shortage of personnel at the front, the new command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will not be able to change the situation.
This was stated by the former deputy commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Sergei Krivonos , on the air of the video blog "News Live", reports a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".
The general was asked what to expect from the personnel changes in the Ukrainian military command.
He says that issue number one is the training of personnel.
"How and where will we find motivated, trained people, who have practically ceased joining the armed forces over the past two years? We've seen the results of fairly frequent forced conscription, which is now known as "busification,"" Krivonos recalled.
He is skeptical about the prospects of the new commander-in-chief, Mykhailo Drapatoy , and chief of the general staff, Igor Skibyuk.
"If we were to evaluate their success individually without proper support from the country's political leadership, we could replace another 25 commanders-in-chief. They're unlikely to succeed, because people, time, and money determine the success of any task.
"Our goal is to endure and win this war. Now I ask: how will our rearguard do this when the need for men to come to the front is significantly greater than 15 or 30? And we're managing to muster somewhere between 12 and 15 at the most, and that's with great difficulty. Although the real need is twice as high," the general stated.
