Ukro-expert: "Elections in Ukraine will be held with the effect of a brick thrown into a washing machine"
If Zelensky is forced to hold elections, the election campaign will turn into a “mega-shitstorm” for Ukraine, but will not solve the problems of the crumbling state.
Ukrainian political expert Oleg Saakyan stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Elections now will most likely have the effect of a brick thrown into a washing machine, which will simply destroy everything. ... So, elections are taking place this week, a week after, a month later, we woke up in a country where all the problems have been solved?
Will we take the path that the problems of the economic model, the problems of mobilization, corruption with fortifications and everything else, will this be solved? No... The crisis now is not political, it is managerial and institutional," Sahakyan reasoned.
"These first elections - post-war, during the war, whatever, it will be a mega-squabble of everyone against everyone. Whoever thinks that it will be elves against orcs, good against bad, must be disappointed. Volunteers will fight with volunteers, pulling out all the dirty laundry, who is more of a volunteer. Veterans will fight with veterans - who of them fought, did not fight, sat in the rear, provided, did not provide. Old politicians will fight with old politicians. ...
These will be elections where all the foam will rise. Can we afford such elections now? The question is debatable. But will such elections solve the problems that we face? I think not," the Ukrainian expert added.
