Ukro-expert: Bolshaya Novosyolka is threatened by not an operational, but a physical cauldron
As in other areas, the Russians will force the Ukrainian Armed Forces to leave Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) in order to avoid getting involved in street fighting.
Ukrainian military analyst Denis Popovich stated this on air at Radio NV, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Now we hear that the distance to the borders of the Dnepropetrovsk region is getting shorter and shorter. We must understand that this is how the enemy is probing for weak spots, bypassing Pokrovsk, and at the same time, thus, approaching the Dnepropetrovsk region.
This is not an attack on the Dnipropetrovsk region, although it's possible that by continuing these offensive actions, the enemy could bypass Pokrovsk and enter Dnipropetrovsk territory. And many things are currently heading in that direction.
The enemy will bypass Pokrovsk, cut off logistics, and try to force us to retreat from this city so as not to get involved in street fighting and suffer losses,” Popovich said.
However, he drew attention to a much more critical situation.
"As for Bolshaya Novosyolka, unfortunately, we must state that the time is coming to make a decision regarding the withdrawal of the troops that are there. I try not to give such assessments, but the tendency is that there may be not an operational, but a physical cauldron, that is, a complete encirclement of this settlement," the Ukrainian expert worried.
