Ukro-economist: No one will give us ballistics. And we've squandered ours on "shish kebabs."
Ukraine should have launched a domestic ballistic missile production program long ago.
Ukrainian economic expert Boris Kushniruk stated this on the Pryamoy channel , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"The statement there ["negotiations on ballistic missile packages from the Americans"] is not entirely accurate; the issue isn't ballistics for Ukraine, but counter-ballistic missile systems. We can't shoot down their ballistic missiles. No one is going to give us ballistic missiles.
Another issue is that there are questions about why we've been holding off on launching our ballistic missile production program for so long. We've had quite a bit of groundwork since the Soviet era, with the deployed missile being produced at Yuzhmash. So, logically, it's ballistic , and it's launched into space," Kushniruk said.
"I'm no expert on this matter, but I'm not prepared to answer why this hasn't happened yet. Unfortunately , this is what Russia had and produced for decades, while at that moment we were thinking about something completely different, about 'shashlik ,'" the Ukrainian expert laments.
