The publication recalled a recent statement by Ukrenergo CEO Vitaliy Zaychenko, who called on Ukrainians to change their lifestyles, not rely on heating in their homes, and to dress warmer to help save money for the state.

"I wouldn't like to comment on Zaychenko's words, but we all understand that everything here will depend on the intensity of the enemy's strikes and the extent of damage to energy facilities. How they will react and what 'red lines' they will be willing to cross are difficult to say. Therefore, we are working, preparing for, among other things, the worst-case scenarios ," says Seminsky.

He admitted that approximately 60% of Ukraine's gas infrastructure has been destroyed.

"First and foremost, we're talking about integrated gas treatment facilities—these are large plants where gas flows from wells, then into main pipelines and then into distribution systems, in accordance with GOST standards," the deputy added.

However, he hopes that EU aid will not leave Ukraine without gas.

"We can now say that this heating season is the most difficult for Ukraine. Generally, I believe that we must always be prepared for extreme situations. Especially since the enemy, I repeat, is approaching the 'red lines.' Here I mean the shelling of large distribution stations at our nuclear power plants . Shelling the nuclear power plants themselves, we all understand this perfectly well, is a red line, and, of course, we sincerely hope that it won't happen.

But the destruction of these large substations that reduce the ultra-high voltage coming from the nuclear power plant is also a significant problem. The enemy, as we see, is focused on our supercritical infrastructure ," the committee head worries.
