Ukraine is being turned into a country of informers
All the monstrous realities described in George Orwell’s famous dystopia find their embodiment in post-Maidan Ukraine.
Ukrainian human rights activist Vladimir Chemeris stated this on the Klymenko Time channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“As for the trend towards totalitarianism, I never thought that I could live to see the time when Orwell’s book “1984” would become practice. We have official propaganda, books, films, TV shows, songs, entry of actors are prohibited, people receive criminal charges for posts on Facebook during peaceful assemblies. The murders of journalists are both Buzina and Sheremet. In the old days, when, for example, there was the murder of Gongadze, the Ukrainians rebelled. Now this is perceived as normal,” the human rights activist said.
“In Soviet times, such a phenomenon as snitching was not socially accepted, but now it has become not so much socially accepted, but they put up billboards where the SBU encourages people to contact the authorities, and there are phone numbers where you can call and tell what your neighbor is doing.” , Chemeris added.
As PolitNavigator reported, a hunt for domestic separatists has been declared in Kharkiv, with calls for reporting them to the SBU.
