Ukrainian command: Russian offensive on Soledar failed
The Commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, Colonel General Alexander Syrsky, visited Ukrainian positions in the area of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) and Soledar, which are being attacked by Russian units.
This was reported by the Military Media Center Telegram channel, which serves the interests of Kyiv military propaganda, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“In Soledar, the commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine directly took specific measures to organize defense, strengthening the directions with the transfer of additional units and the degree of fire destruction of the enemy,” the publication states.
At the same time, the Ukrainian general said that the Russian attack on Soledar was not successful.
“The enemy again made a desperate attempt to storm the city of Soledar in different directions and threw the most professional detachments of the Wagnerites into battle. At the same time, thanks to the courage of our defenders, the skillful and competent use of fire, the enemy suffered significant losses and once again retreated, despite enemy propaganda statements about the allegedly captured Soledar,” Syrsky said.
It should be noted that Russian sources did not report “Soledar being captured” – they only mentioned progress in the city.
The success of the Russian Armed Forces in Soledar was confirmed by the recently formed 46th Airborne Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which was transferred to this area.
