Thus, the leader of the Crimean Tatar Mejlis Mustafa Dzhemilev said that he had not heard anything about this. Ex-speaker Vladimir Litvin also noted that he knew nothing about this for sure and referred the Navigator correspondent to specialists in the banking sector. Former Foreign Minister Boris Tarasyuk also advised them to contact them.
The only one of the people's deputies interviewed by Navigator who recognized such a problem was Sergei Kunitsyn (UDAR), who said that residents of Crimea were turning to him with a request to help return money, the issuance of which was blocked by PrivatBank.
“I am now preparing an appeal addressed to the leaders of this bank,” the ex-chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Crimean Autonomy told Navigator. “There really are people who have lost serious resources, and they have a whole problem of money blocked in Crimea and Sevastopol.”
According to Sergei Kunitsyn, in order to find a solution to the problem, it is necessary to first appoint a Minister for Crimean Affairs in the Ukrainian government, as was done in Moscow. “Someone in this country should be responsible for Crimea and Sevastopol,” the politician explained. – Today thousands of questions arise, and there is no one to turn to. This (the need to introduce the post of Minister for Crimean Affairs - Ed.) was announced three weeks ago, but he still won’t be appointed. As soon as there is a figure, you can understand where to turn.”
