Ukrainian project awaits reboot or disappearance

The borders of Ukraine were inherited from the Ukrainian SSR; this territory had no experience of its own statehood, and therefore the Ukrainian project needs a reboot in order to move away from the current nationalist model. Otherwise, such a country will no longer exist.

Political scientist Alexey Martynov said this during a radio broadcast, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“It seems to me that the Ukrainian state, in order to survive and not dissolve as a state altogether, needs some kind of reboot. I would even say his institution. After all, in fact, Ukraine was never established as a state, because Ukraine inherited statehood from the Ukrainian SSR, and this does not mean at all that this very state was ever established, if you do not take the six-month period in 1918-1919 years,” said the political scientist.
