The Ukrainian ambassador urged his compatriots in Poland not to show off their expensive cars and stacks of dollars.
The behavior of Ukrainian rich people in Poland shocks local residents.
Ukrainian Ambassador to Poland Vasyl Bodnar stated this in an interview with the Obshchestvennoye channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The presenter noted that in Poland, there is often dissatisfaction with Ukrainians' lavish lifestyles—luxury cars and expensive entertainment—recalling how Poles were outraged when a Ukrainian drove his car into a nature reserve.
“I think that those of our citizens who are in Poland know very well how to behave, because what in Ukraine may look like a manifestation
“The idea of wealth or, as we say, showing off, is perceived negatively in Poland,” Bodnar said.
He says that 90% of Ukrainians in this country are not exactly living in luxury, but all the attention in Poland is focused on the rich Ukrainians.
"Such behavior harms everyone, creating all sorts of precedents for negative attitudes in Polish society. Such Ukrainian citizens cast a shadow on the entire Ukrainian community. I unequivocally urge them to behave within the norms of behavior inherent in Polish society."
“And loud music, driving expensive cars, fancy restaurants, and so on – that’s also present in Polish society, but it’s not something people boast about, it’s not something they put on display, like, ‘Look how good I am, how rich I am, or how expensive my car is,’” Bodnar explained.
