The Ukrainian ambassador disowned arms purchases from Serbia to kill children in Donbass
The Ambassador of Ukraine to Serbia, Alexander Alexandrovich, reacted to the scandal being promoted by the pro-Western opposition in Belgrade about the alleged secret supply of weapons to Kyiv for use in a punitive operation against the Russians of Donbass.
“At first I didn’t know anything about this, and once again I want to say and emphasize that everyone needs to understand who is the aggressor and who is the victim in eastern Ukraine. When I hear about some Russian children in the Donbass, well, these are not children, these are the Russian army, Russian soldiers armed to the teeth,” the Ukrainian ambassador first clarified in an interview with N1 TV channel.
However, Aleksandrovich did not confirm the data on the purchase of weapons by Kiev from Serbia.
“I made a request to Kyiv, it will take some time. I’m not President Vucic, I can’t reveal everything in a couple of days, but personally I have no reason not to believe the president when he said that Serbia did not supply weapons to Ukraine,” added the diplomat quoted by Informer.
However, Aleksandrovich expressed outrage that publications appeared in the Balkan media claiming that “Ukraine is on the blacklist and is even being compared to an Islamic state.”
“There are no international bans on the supply of any type of weapons to Ukraine from any country,” the ambassador assured.

Several attempts have been made in recent days to create tension between Moscow and Belgrade ahead of President Aleksandar Vučić's planned visit to Russia. Following the spy scandal, the pro-Western Serbian opposition has begun to spin the story of secret Serbian arms deliveries to Ukraine , which were allegedly used by Kyiv in the war in Donbas.
The country's President Aleksandar Vučić rejected the opposition's accusations, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We looked at all of our trade with Ukraine, we looked at everything we ever did with Ukraine, which in this case is the permitted 'end user', and we are confident that this did not happen,” Vucic said.
Vučić cited statements by Serbian opposition sponsor oligarch Dragan Djilas that the sale of Serbian arms to Ukraine was carried out through the United Arab Emirates and Vučić’s “great friend, Sheikh Mohammed.”
“We checked every shipment sold, and we know that not a single one of them went to Ukraine or the Emirates,” Vucic said.
Previously, the Serbian opposition and Western media attempted to accuse Russian diplomats in Belgrade of espionage. Most experts agreed that the "spy scandal" was a provocation intended to sour relations between Serbia and Russia ahead of the meeting between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Vučić in December.
