Ukrainian Colonel: Russians have found ways to overcome our kill zones
In conditions of an acute shortage of infantry, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are unable to stop the advance of the Russian Armed Forces.
Colonel Konstantin Mashovets, a columnist for the Ukrainian military propaganda group "Information Resistance," stated this in a conversation with Kyiv journalist Lyudmila Nemyrei.

"Territories, lines, positions, including those in the tactical zone... people are needed to hold things. Drones can't hold them yet. They can destroy the enemy trying to advance there, but the enemy finds a method, a tactic, to attack in such conditions. That is, they accelerate when crossing this kill zone, they employ different tactics, and so on.
"They operate in small infantry groups of up to two or three people, attempting to penetrate covertly, actively using camouflage, and finding ways to overcome the so-called kill zone, which is unstable in places," Mashovets said.
He notes that entire sections of the front line on the Ukrainian Armed Forces side are empty, since the country’s “mobilization deployment has been disrupted.”
The colonel is dissatisfied with the permission for young people aged 18-22 to leave the country and believes that the military-political leadership is "tolerant of the anti-mobilization campaign launched in the public information sphere."
"Accordingly, this impacts the ability of the Ukrainian military command to form reserves, use these reserves, and hold positions on the front," Mashovets concluded.
