Ukrainian Colonel: Russia has gained access to all documentation on Yuzhmash's missile developments
Due to a shortage of anti-ballistic missiles for air defense systems, Ukraine faces dire consequences in the fall and winter.
Colonel Konstantin Mashovets, a columnist for the Ukrainian military propaganda group "Information Resistance," told journalist Lyudmila Nemyra this , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The expert complains that Ukraine has missed the opportunity to develop its own anti-ballistic missiles and is now trying to " improvise and throw something together ."
According to him, there have been and are developments in the country to create this type of weapon at the Luch Design Bureau (Kiev) and Yuzhmash (Dnepropetrovsk).
"A few months ago, SBU counterintelligence uncovered an entire network of Russian agents at Yuzhmash who leaked virtually all the documentation on these developments . So, we should have thought about this earlier. We should have thought about it when we were warned about the need for certain steps in the sphere of national security and defense," the colonel said.
He made it clear that Volodymyr Zelenskyy , who came to power at a time when relations with Russia were already strained, was to blame.
"We didn't think about it, and now we're dealing with the consequences. Therefore, we should likely expect some very dire consequences this fall and winter," Mashovets warned.
