Ukrainian political scientist admitted that he is scared in his homeland
There are serious problems with freedom of speech in Ukraine.
This was admitted on the Rossiya-1 TV channel by Ukrainian political scientist Vasily Vakar, who previously always defended the positions of official Kyiv.

“In my home country, unfortunately, the screws are being tightened. Especially on TV. I personally, as a citizen of Ukraine, am against the closure of Channel 112, NewsOne and other channels that seem pro-Russian to some politicians in Ukraine. In fact, there are different points of view represented,” Waqar said.
According to him, with the start of the election campaign, the tone of discussions on TV in which nationalists take part has sharply increased.
“Now the intensity of the authorities is intensifying. I'm really scared. I’m trying to say something to the Ukrainian language, they accuse me of being an agent of the Kremlin. Especially when I broadcast something here. It's kind of surreal. People start out with extreme political views. But the temperature will continue to rise,” said Waqar.
