The Ukrainian Paralympian dedicated his victory at the Rio de Janeiro competition to the fallen “ATO warriors.” Andrey Demchuk was not shy about his emotions and shed tears after speaking about this.
“Two of my friends died in the ATO. And I dedicate this medal to them. These are really the people who sacrificed themselves so that our country would be free and independent. I really hope that this evil spirit will leave Ukraine and we will live peacefully and happily again. I dedicate this medal to all ATO soldiers, because these are the people who give everything to protect our land. I am 100% grateful to them,” he said.
