The Ukrainian crisis did not affect Russian securities
Judging by the dynamics of non-resident investments in federal loan bonds, the Russian ruble is still of interest to foreign investors.

Nikolai Troshin, a researcher at the Center for Economic Research at RISI, stated this today at a press conference in Moscow.
“Throughout 2016, and now, investments by non-residents in Russian securities continue. Their share has already exceeded 30%,” Troshin said.
According to him, the share of non-residents decreased only in 2014, but they did not leave the market.
“The Russian ruble is gaining strength. We see this in the interest of non-residents in the Russian market. The crisis events had virtually no impact. We see a failure associated with the Ukrainian crisis, which was quickly overcome and practically leveled out after the reunification of Crimea with Russia,” Troshin said.
