Ukrainian general urged not to make a tragedy out of the surrender of Avdiivka
Russia is increasing its troop grouping and plans to continue its offensive in the Avdeevsky, Kupyansky and Maryinsky directions.
This was stated on the air of the Pryamyi TV channel by the former deputy head of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, former deputy secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine, Sergei Krivonos, reports a correspondent of PolitNavigator.

The general called for no tragedies to occur in any development of the situation in Avdiivka, but emphasized that it is “quite complicated” there.
“The Russians are accumulating and have increased their force over the past week, even despite their offensive intentions. On average, their group has increased by about 25 thousand on the territory of our country. This shows that they are throwing in more and more forces and means, and there is also an accumulation in the Avdeevsky direction, where they are trying to continue their offensive in the coming days, as they want to do in the Maryinsky direction and in the Kupyansky direction.
They are trying, before the frosts hit, to grab another piece of Ukrainian land with their teeth in the last jump and hold it there, move on to positional defense,” the general said.
“Our task, realizing that our resources are significantly smaller, is to pay attention, despite how the situation near Avdiivka will end, and it is quite complex, not to make a tragedy out of it, not to fall for Russian propaganda, not to blame our certain politicians, “But it’s right to focus and say that, dear ones, if we want to continue to survive as an independent state, let’s prepare the state for defense professionally and seriously,” Krivonos said.
