The Ukrainian general did not rule out military action against Transnistria
Moldova should take up the return of Transnistria, and Ukraine should negotiate the virtual surrender of the Russian Federation.
The former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, General Nikolai Malomuzh, stated this on the YouTube channel Espreso.tv, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
He fears that Russia will begin to transfer troops to Transnistria and calls Moldova an effective ally that “can raise the question of restoring its territories.”
“They [Russia] now want to fix the state that they would like to impose on us. For example, carrying out offensive operations in the East and South of Ukraine, also capturing Transnistria, seizing parts of the territory on which they are counting on to negotiate the status quo. Recognition of these creatures, as we say to the DPR and LPR, along the borders that they control today,” the general fears.
He says that at some stage Ukraine and Russia will enter into negotiations, but the peace agreement will be signed on Kyiv's terms.
