Ukrainian expert: The deal to not strike Bankova has come to an end
The damage to buildings on Bankova during the New Year's drone attack on Kyiv is Moscow's response to the inability of the Ukrainian leadership to negotiate.
Ukrainian military expert Dmitry Snegiryov, a former member of Oleg Tyagnibok's Nazi party, VO "Svoboda", stated this on the channel of Kyiv journalist Alexander Shelest, a correspondent for "PolitNavigator" reports.
"No air defense system provides a 100% guarantee of shooting down aerodynamic and aeroballistic targets, not even the famous Israeli Iron Dome. Look, the Shaheds hit Bankova just as the temperature was rising regarding the possibility of striking with the Oreshnik missile. Remember Putin's rhetoric: pull together all the air defense and missile defense systems, and I'll strike with the Oreshnik missile, and we'll see.
And at that moment, instead of "Oreshnik", drones arrive, and, moreover, on Bankova, and give Putin the opportunity to declare that - why do I need "Oreshnik", I can handle drones just fine. A strike on the National Bank, on Lieberman's house - the center of the capital," said Snegiryov.
Shelest asked why drones had not been directed to Bankova before.
"Because there were deals. Let's call things by their proper names. To avoid mutual attacks on decision-making centers. And this time they got caught after Ukraine's corresponding position that we are not ready for negotiations. That is, this is an element of military-political pressure," the Banderite responded.
