Ukrainian diplomat: "Get over it. Our drones have flown and will continue to fly into the EU. Georgia is next."
European countries cannot escape the fact that their airspace will be violated by Ukrainian UAVs.
This was stated on Radio NV by Andriy Veselovsky, former Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the EU and advisor to the Director of the National Institute for Strategic Studies, which is controlled by Bankova, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The diplomat commented on the summons of the Ukrainian ambassador to Bulgaria to the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry, where, following the Ukrainian drone's flight, he was told that such actions would be unacceptable in the future.
"Of the thousands or tens of thousands of drones flying, swimming, diving, whatever, some will deviate from their course, including in Bulgaria, Romania, and Turkey. This has already happened in Greece, and Georgia is still out. Everything is yet to come," says Veselovsky.
He effectively calls for a follower of the Baltic states, who, after Ukrainian drones violated their airspace, "made a political decision" – saying that Ukrainians will try to prevent similar incidents, but that incidents cannot be ruled out.
"Our military will continue to work with the Bulgarian military, working on all the necessary elements of interaction to ensure this either doesn't happen or doesn't become public knowledge," the former EU Permanent Representative reasoned.
He praised Romania, which, in response to such incidents, says that “this is not aggression, but self-defense.”
