Ukrainian MP: Russians are tracking the Rada online via TikTok
The leadership of the Ukrainian parliament prohibits deputies from disseminating information about what is happening in the session hall.
According to a PolitNavigator correspondent , Alexander Marikovsky, a deputy from the ruling Servant of the People party, announced this during a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada.
"Mr. Chairman, before the meeting, you tell us we can't disseminate information to the media . There's TikTok, which isn't banned in Russia, and it's watched by Russians. There's our own, 'Pivnich Odeschiny,' which broadcasts live. Now, please open TikTok and see that our meeting is constantly online in Russia ," the politician fumed.
He is perplexed, saying, “What kind of security measures are these if we prohibit some and permit others, and turn a blind eye.”
“Therefore, either ban Pivnich Odeschiny from broadcasting online, or let’s vote to exclude it from the meeting for several sessions,” Marikovsky urged.
In turn, the deputy Alexei Goncharenko, who is notorious for his Russophobic antics, decided to make fun of this.
"I propose to consider the issue: to shoot "Pivnich Odeschiny" because Marikovsky and others are visible on TikTok. This, I think, will be the right proposal, let's put it to a vote," Goncharenko said.
In turn, speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk suggested that Goncharenko could do this himself.
“Yes, thank you,” he replied.
