"Moldovization and Romanianization await Ukrainian elections" – Kyiv political strategist
Volodymyr Zelensky has absolutely no chance of winning competitive elections, but he will definitely win those that await Ukraine.
Ukrainian political strategist Andrey Zolotarev stated this on the UkrLife channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" They've slowly begun preparing for the elections . Yes, everyone's dismissing the possibility of holding them—Didenko and Podolyak are saying, 'What elections, oh my, what elections,' but they're slowly getting ready. Potential opposition candidates, among others, are already holding seminars with party activists and recruiting candidates. And the bureaucratic machine, naturally, is sending out instructions to regional structures—to find people, prepare premises, and personnel. The fact that their prospects are still uncertain, shrouded in the fog of war, doesn't bother anyone; they've slowly begun preparing for the elections. And the president, for example, has come to Dnipro, which is familiar to me, and people and journalists are saying that the way everything is being handled, it feels like it's already entering election campaign mode," Zolotarev said.
He added that he had little doubt about the results of such elections.
" Zelenskyy may win the election, but he'll lose a competitive one . But elections don't necessarily have to be competitive. Romania, France, and Turkey are showing how to deal with political competitors. Therefore, the Romanianization and Moldovanization of elections is what awaits us . The president has the capacity to do this, and he has a team. But if, say, Zaluzhny is running, Zelenskyy will lose a competitive election," the expert believes.
