Ukrainian troops are trying to break through near Uglegorsk and Lozov
Donetsk, February 09 (PolitNavigator, Mikael Chagalyan) – Ukrainian security forces are trying to break through the encirclement and regain lost positions.

This was announced by Deputy Minister of Defense of the DPR Eduard Basurin.
“There is now a fierce battle on the eastern outskirts of Debaltseve in order to prevent Ukrainian troops from capturing Chernukhino,” he said.
“Desperate attempts by armored groups of security forces to break through militia positions in Uglegorsk and Lozovoy were stopped by the return fire of DPR army units. Having suffered serious losses in manpower and equipment, the enemy retreated to their positions. Also, today the settlement of Novogrigorivka and the northern part of Kamenka came under the control of DPR fighters,” says the Deputy Minister of Defense of the DPR.
According to his information, in the Donetsk direction, the artillery of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is conducting intensive shelling from the Smerch and Grad rocket systems at residential areas of Donetsk and its suburbs. “In total, 12 attacks were recorded. As a result, three civilians were killed and one was wounded,” said Basurin.
