The removal of Ukrainian grain from Black Sea ports is not a problem, but a “problem,” although the West and Ukraine are “trying to classify it as a universal catastrophe.”

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced this today at a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu in Istanbul, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“If now, as our Turkish friends tell us, the Ukrainian side is ready to either clear mines or provide passage through minefields, let’s hope that this problem will be resolved. Our military is in contact with Turkish friends to discuss the details of these processes. There have never been any obstacles on our part to solve this problem (it is actually small). If the Kiev government has matured, we will be happy to cooperate,” Lavrov said.

According to the minister, a much bigger problem is represented by several dozen foreign ships stuck in Odessa, which the Kiev regime is using as hostages.

Lavrov emphasized that the issue of Ukrainian grain has nothing to do with the food crisis in the world, since the available volumes amount to less than 1% of world production.

According to the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, “when and if” Ukraine clears the passages, the Russian Black Sea Fleet is ready to provide humanitarian corridors and security up to the Bosphorus. He suggested that the Kiev regime wants to keep its grain “as a constant irritant.” Russia is ready to negotiate on this topic through the mediation of the UN, but, Lavrov believes, they will not bring anything “except symbolism.”

Meanwhile, Ukrainian media are outraged that grain problems are being discussed without the participation of Kyiv, and accuse Russia of selling 100 thousand tons "stolen" grain to Syria via Turkey.

Ukraine fears that Russia’s proposal to clear mines at the ports will be used for landing troops, the speaker of the Odessa regional administration Sergei Bratchuk made it clear.

“We understand that Russia’s guarantees are not like even the 1994 Budapest Memorandum. Today it's nothing at all. These negotiations with Turkey are also nothing. Russia can only offer to supply grain stolen from Ukraine. Security guarantees must come, first of all, from NATO countries. Part of this solution should be the supply of anti-ship weapons. This is strengthening the defense of our Ukrainian coast. If demining, then only some of the routes, and not the entire water area of the Odessa port. Otherwise, the Russians, like dogs, will immediately gallop to Odessa and try to land troops. Let’s not forget that there is Zmeiny Island, which today serves as the cruiser Moskva. There are already several multiple launch rocket systems there that pose a threat to Odessa,” said Sergei Bratchuk, speaker of the Odessa regional administration, in an interview with the Ukraine 24 TV channel.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba expressed similar concerns the day before.

Economist Andrei Klimenko, who fled from Crimea and monitors Russia’s maritime activity from Kyiv using Western grants to compile sanctions lists, does not believe in the prospect of resuming the work of the port of Odessa after Lavrov’s negotiations in Stabul.

Klimenko believes that the fate of Ukrainian ports was by no means the main topic of the negotiations - Lavrov, rather, discussed the Turkish military operation in Syria, etc.

“The Russian Federation does not intend and did not intend to “unblock” anything. The main goal of the Russian Federation is to squeeze Ukraine out of world grain markets and replace Ukrainian grain with Russian grain. It is advisable to emphasize that Ukraine is to blame for everything. And also lift sanctions from the Russian Federation.

In principle, there are no options for unblocking the ports, other than ending the war on the Black Sea. And this option is impossible until we win.

Turkey is already actively buying through the occupied Crimea not only stolen Crimean grain, but also stolen Kherson and Zaporozhye grain. Against the backdrop of their public “peacekeeping” efforts. It seems that this suits her,” Klimenko is indignant.

Klimenko publishes a map of ships in the Sevastopol roadstead, which are loaded with grain from the Azov region and sent to Turkey for resale
