Ukrainian nationalists celebrate victory - the SBU banned Mikhalkov, Zadornov and Yarmolnik from entering Ukraine
Activists of the nationalist movement “Vіdsіch” declared their victory the ban on entry to Ukraine by the Russian cultural figures Nikita Mikhalkov, Stanislav Govorukhin, Nadezhda Babkina, Mikhail Zadornov, Irina Alferova, Alexey Panin, Leonid Yarmolnik, announced by the Security Service of Ukraine.

“#Peremoga! Moreover, according to our demands, the SBU appealed to the Ministry of Culture, which must now add these racists to the List of Persons Who Threaten National Security. We are waiting for an immediate response from the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine! Adding these scoundrels to the “blacklist” will finally remove their “cultural” product from our screens. And we would like to draw your attention to the fact that this is the first opportunity in a long time to expand the “black list” of Russian artists,” the publication says.
At the same time, the nationalists consider their victory insufficient. They demand that more than 600 artists from Russia be banned from entering in order to completely block cultural exchange between the countries.
“But there is also #zrada. Of the more than 600 applications we submitted against racist artists, the SBU has so far reviewed just over 100. And in most cases, it has not revealed any violations on the part of these artists. Although all of them signed the notorious statement in support of Putin’s policy towards Ukraine, which is freely available on the website of the Russian Ministry of Culture, and some also made blatant anti-Ukrainian statements and actions,” the Vidsich organization complained.
In particular, as the nationalists point out, from the point of view of the SBU, “such loyal Putinists” as Alexander Pankratov-Cherny, Gennady Khazanov, Lolita Milyavskaya turned out to be “clean” (although she was denied entry, she was not included in the “black list”) and Fyodor Dobronravov, the latter, as indicated in “Vidsich”, “not only signed a pro-Putin statement, not only declared on camera that Crimea is Russian, but also marked the beating of Ukrainian activists.”
“It seems that the protection of the Ukrainian information space from odious Russian artists is more of a concern to the public than to the SBU. After all, this is not the first time we have submitted our list of racist artists to the Service. And only after activists of the “Vidsich” movement submitted more than 600 personal statements to the SBU for each racist activist did this make the Service move a little. However, the majority of racists are still not included in the “black list”. We demand that the SBU stop applying double standards to various racists - all of them have no place in Ukraine, but a place on the “black list,” the organization said.
