Ukrainian nationalists are threatening to bring thousands of people to the streets of Kyiv if the country’s Deputy Prosecutor General Yevgeny Enin, who signed the extradition to Russia of a Chechen militant who fought on the side of right-wing radicals in the Donbass, is not fired.
This was stated by the battalion commander of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army, Andriy Gerget (Cherven), during a picket outside the walls of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine, which was stormed today by right-wing radicals , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the militant, the radicals were already ready to leave the regions today and march to Kyiv.
“If Yenin is not fired within four days, by the end of the week, I, Andriy Cherven, commander of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army, will take people out into the streets in earnest, I will take thousands of people out. I actually held people back,” Cherven said.
As a reminder, several days ago, the Prosecutor General's Office ordered the extradition, at the request of the FSB, of Sheikh Mansur, a member of the Sheikh Mansur battalion, part of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army, who fought in Syria on the side of the militants.
In response, representatives of Ukrainian right-wing radical organizations staged a picket outside the Prosecutor General's Office demanding the dismissal of Deputy Prosecutor General Yevhen Yenin, who had issued the extradition order.
