This was stated in an interview with Apostrophe by the ex-head of the Right Sector, the head of the so-called Ukrainian Volunteer Army, Dmitry Yarosh, who expressed hope that in the event of a full-scale war with Russia, the United States will supply Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine.
“Because when something large-scale begins, this time the Americans, I think, will not abandon us, as the West has always abandoned us,” Yarosh said.
He added that Ukraine really needs to “make an anti-missile cap.”
"Because I often even dream about how aviation works. I've never been under aerial bombardment in my life—thank God. I've been under everything, but not under bombing. But for some reason, I often dream about this kind of war. When an airplane fires a missile... And it's a bit scary. Because it's hard to defend yourself. But at the same time, as someone I know used to say: humans are such animals that they get used to everything ( laughs ). And we'll get used to aviation—and we'll shoot them down!" Yarosh asserts.
