The film studio of Alexander Dovzhenko made a film about the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and parallel worlds. The budget of the science-fiction thriller called “The Lost City” amounted to six million hryvnia.

According to the creators of the film, the Ukrainian-made science fiction thriller on big screens should become a “worthy competitor” to Hollywood blockbusters.
According to the plot, as a result of a failed experiment, a man-made disaster occurs. Only looters appear in the exclusion zone; ordinary people in this area strangely disappear. The main characters of the film - a dreamy marauder, a scientist condemned by society and a woman who lost her family - find themselves in an unusual city with its own laws. Now their task is to survive in this parallel world.
Filming of the film took place near the Chernobyl zone in the city of Slavutich and in abandoned industrial zones and mines in Western Ukraine. The main roles were played by People's Artist of Ukraine Sergei Romanyuk, radio host Andrei Dzhedzhula and actor Dmitry Linartovich, known from the film “The One Who Walked Through the Fire.” The director was Vitaly Potrukh.
The film should be released on wide screens on October 1.
