The Ukrainian economy collapsed due to the break with Russia
The Ukrainian economy has halved due to worsening relations with the Russian Federation and the loss of CIS markets. This was stated by Verkhovna Rada deputy Yevhen Murayev on the NewsOne television channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to him, the largest enterprises have stopped in Ukraine due to the fact that it has lost its usual markets for goods, and “European integration” has not opened new ones.

“Why have we begun to live poorer? In 13, our country’s GDP was 183 billion. This is the volume of goods and services that a country produced. Now it’s a little over 90. That is, the country has dropped by half. Why did this happen? Because Putin once spoke at a famous conference and said: “The end of the unipolar world. Russia won’t allow it anymore.” And the States got involved with other mechanisms. I’m offended, and I understand that the root of all our troubles is that our rulers allowed Ukraine to be dragged into this. What did the States want? They wanted to break the cooperation between our economies, and they were connected. And they were especially connected in the military-industrial complex. And after that came the sanctions...
This brought our economy down by half. There is no money because we have stopped earning it. There is unemployment in the country because all the enterprises that worked on the CIS markets are now standing, and no other markets exist. And Europe, when it signed the economic part of the association agreement with us, protected its markets with quotas and standards. At the same time, we have completely opened our markets to European goods. This sank the economy even further,” said Muraev.
