Ukrainian actress: the elderly should be spared, and government officials should speak English
The country must have an “uncompromising approach” to the issue of the use of the state language by government officials, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I believe that such an uncompromising approach to language should be applied to government officials. Definitely here. This is an outrage against Ukraine when government officials speak Russian, especially now when we have such a confrontation. I wouldn’t touch people of the older generation at all - these are people who were formed in a certain period, it’s already difficult for them to transition. They often tell me: “I am a patriot of Ukraine, but I can’t, it’s very difficult for me to cross over.” I understand that at this age only Yablonskaya can switch to Ukrainian,” the actress is indignant.
