Ukraine benefits from air ceasefire – Volker
Ukraine, which suffers from constant Russian attacks, would benefit from a moratorium on mutual missile and drone strikes being declared in the near future.
Former US Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker stated this in a commentary to Times Radio, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"I think a ceasefire in the air would be beneficial to Ukraine due to the nightly shelling of Ukrainian cities . But at the same time, Ukraine has achieved significant success in striking Russian military facilities, fuel depots, oil refineries, and ammunition depots.
This will deprive Ukraine of such effective weapons as drones, which they successfully use. But I think the Ukrainian people would welcome a break, " Volker stated.
