“Expect some kind of forceful help - here we have our own (NATO members - "Navigator") there is not even enough strength to provide assistance,” the expert said on the Espresso TV channel.
He criticized politicians calling for Ukraine's immediate membership in NATO.
“Raising this question means further destabilization. In the near future, NATO will not accept Ukraine, even if it hurts itself. I am sure that one of the conditions will be the end of conflicts with Russia. NATO does not need such members,” Sungurovsky believes.
According to him, in the current situation, the West will conduct “consultations, attempts to bring Putin to the negotiating table.”
“Even the entry of a US ship into the Black Sea is a deterrent measure. It should have been at the very beginning, not now. If patrolling of the Black Sea was announced in order to prevent the entry of little green men, then that would be one thing. But one ship is not enough. These actions are unsystematic,” admitted Sungurovsky.
