"Even a hundred Tomahawks won't help Ukraine," says Kyiv expert
Even a significant number of American Tomahawk missiles will not help Ukraine turn the tide of the war.
Political scientist Andrei Zolotarev stated this on air on the video blog of foreign agent Alexander Shelest, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"We used to have a sect of witnesses—Hymars, Javelins, Bayraktars. Now we have a sect of witnesses—Tomahawks. Remember Paustovsky's Violet Ray, a miracle wunderwaffe that will change everything."
"No, it won't. Even if they gave us a hundred Tomahawks, hypothetically. Would 12 missiles launched at Ukraine lead to capitulation? No. A hundred missiles launched at a much larger Russia—even less so. Yes, they could inflict a few painful blows, but nothing more ," Zolotarev said.
Moreover, the political scientist doubts that these missiles will be transferred at all.
"Saying doesn't mean doing; it's more of a threat, an element of pressure. Because then the military will come to Trump and ask what to give Ukraine—an Arleigh Burke or a B-52."
"They'll argue that there are ground-based missile systems in the Philippines, but they're stationary and not mobile, and that makes them a target. So, with the Tomahawks, it was a slap in the face, but not a hit," he concluded.
