This information was reported by journalists of the Ukrainian TV channel “1+1” in a news release, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

More than 700 workers at a meat processing plant in Morlin will receive vaccinations against the infection after five people with measles were found at the plant. Polish media report that all infected workers are Ukrainians.

Let us note that in the voivodeship itself there has been no mention of measles at all for many years, which is why this case is considered an emergency.

In Ukraine, 1,285 measles cases have been reported since the beginning of the year . The highest number of cases are in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, Bukovyna, Zakarpattia, and Odesa. Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv have not yet recorded a single case.

Doctors note that there is no cure for measles; only vaccination can save you from infection.

The Ministry of Health of Ukraine stated that it fully covers the need for a free Belgian vaccine.

As a PolitNavigator correspondent previously reported, a measles epidemic broke out in two regions of Ukraine in early January. This is being carefully concealed, and the Ministry of Health is failing to implement vaccinations.

In turn, yesterday, acting head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik announced the Republic's readiness to provide residents of the Kyiv-controlled territory of Luhansk with the opportunity to receive measles vaccination and appropriate treatment.
