Ukraine has chosen a course for aggravation in Donbass, Moscow said
Today's adoption by the Verkhovna Rada of a bill declaring Russia an occupier in the Donbass is evidence that Ukraine has chosen a course of aggravation that is contrary to the Minsk agreements.

“This will naturally be followed by an escalation of the situation. So far, Ukraine has not been able to completely end its participation in the Minsk agreements. But the bills voted on today are clearly aimed at further trying to undermine the documents that were signed in Minsk,” Denisov said.
He believes that the provisions of the bill declaring Russia an occupier and aggressor directly violate the Minsk agreements.
“They make relations during the negotiations in Minsk extremely difficult. The Reintegration Law contains a number of points that are false. They cannot lead to any positive dialogue about the fate of Donbass,” Denisov said.
He also does not consider the extension of the law on the peculiarities of local self-government in Donbass (on special status) to be positive.
“Regarding the extension of the law on the special status of Donbass, instead of integrating it into the body of the constitution, as written in the Minsk agreements, it is simply extended for one year. This is not a reason for optimism,” Denisov said.
