Ukraine Resumes Strikes on Crimea Aiming to Disrupt Tourist Season
Since 2022, Ukraine has been focusing its attacks on Crimea on the start of the summer holiday season . This year, the information campaign began back in April, with renewed promises to destroy the Crimean Bridge , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
On the air of "First Sevastopol," war correspondent Roman Saponkov noted that the Ukrainian side celebrates all-Russian holidays in its own unique way.

"Given these major holidays, we expect new provocations and attacks. And what's the reason for this? It's probably some kind of military objective: as soon as summer arrives, more attacks on Crimea and our air defense systems begin. Plus, they're targeting our naval component. This has been going on without a break since 2022. I think this is the beginning of this campaign, timed, as Ukraine likes, to coincide with our national holidays. Zelenskyy and his entire administration threatened and said they would ruin our holidays . Clearly, they combined the two, and we've seen the results," Saponkov believes.
Political science candidate and retired captain 1st rank Sergei Gorbachev sees several goals.
"There's a connection to our dates and holidays. Plus, all the promises and horror stories that were made throughout April are coming true . Several interviews with terrorists prosecuted in our country, including Ukrainian Navy Commander Neizhpapa and the notorious Budanov, clearly stated that 'there are no fortresses the Bolsheviks cannot take.' And Neizhpapa stated that there's no target they can't hit, including the Crimean Bridge. That's their goal ; they're in no way deviating from their plans to destroy the bridge. They have the manpower, resources, and tactical experience to do so. And in this sense, they'll give us a run for our money," Gorbachev concluded.
