Ukraine will not guarantee security for polling stations in new Russian regions during the Russian State Duma elections.
Former Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Valeriy Chaly announced this at a press conference in Kyiv, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"If there is an intense exchange of attacks, it will be very questionable whether elections can even be held in the occupied territories. Because the people who will organize them and stand there armed at the polling stations are legitimate targets for the Ukrainian Armed Forces ," Chaly said.
He recalled that these are the first federal Russian parliamentary elections in new regions of Russia, with the exception of Crimea, and called them a “ crime .”
