Ukraine is becoming the center of world sex tourism
Ukraine is famous abroad for its easily accessible girls, and not for its powerful production or intellectual development.
Iryna Suslova, People's Deputy of Ukraine of the 8th convocation and Chair of the Subcommittee on Gender Equality and Non-Discrimination of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities and Interethnic Relations, announced this at a press conference in Kyiv, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Ukraine is gradually becoming the center of world sex tourism. Instead of powerful production, innovation, and intellectual development, we are famous for easily accessible girls. People come to Ukraine from all over the world to take advantage of these services. These are mainly large cities - Kharkov, Kyiv, Lvov, Dnepr, Odessa, where there is a choice of girls and, accordingly, the appropriate infrastructure has been established. A powerful intermediary network has already been formed, which provides turnkey services - organizing charters, connecting with selected girls, even conducting educational excursions - where exactly to look for them, how to handle them, how exactly to make them very easily accessible. If there is sex tourism in a country, children are inevitably drawn into it,” she says.
According to the people's deputy, in most cases the victims are teenagers aged 13-17 years.
“These come from poor families who are forced to earn a living. Sometimes their own parents send their child to the panel. Recently we could see several stories in the media about this very thing. The worst thing is that a significant part of society perceives this as normal, believing that through such services the country can replenish the budget,” the politician was indignant.
