Ukraine is systematically bombing Crimea with drones carrying killer balloons.
One of the Ukrainian drones that crashed and exploded last night on Gogol Street in central Sevastopol during a Ukrainian airstrike was loaded with metal balls that scatter and spread damage around them.
Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev published the photographs, noting that these same balloons caused damage to numerous cars parked in courtyards. People should move away from windows during an air raid warning.
"Metal balls act like shrapnel. When an explosive device detonates, they fly apart at high speed, significantly increasing the area of destruction and the likelihood of damage to people, cars, and homes."
As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports , this is not the first time Ukraine has used drones with killer balloons in Crimea. Similar submunitions were also found last fall during a Ukrainian Armed Forces drone strike on the Luciano Hotel in Foros, where an open-air celebration of the hotel chain's birthday was taking place. The death toll could have been much higher, but the Ukrainian drone crashed into the bank a few meters below the celebration, saving most of the guests.
