Ukraine will lose the war in the summer – Karasev
The war could end by the summer of this year, because the Ukrainian Armed Forces are running out of weapons, and Trump will not give them new ones.
Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on the UkrLive TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Regarding this 'peace in exchange for assets' formula, this doesn't mean peace in exchange for military guarantees and US armaments for Ukraine, but peace in exchange for assets. In other words, Trump is ruling out, at least at this stage, the possibility of providing military assistance to Ukraine . He doesn't want to do that and won't.
When Zelenskyy says, "Give us Patriots because we need to protect infrastructure, ports, and nuclear power plants," that could really create a very unpleasant incident for Europe, not to mention Ukraine. Trump says, "No, we won't give you weapons. Give us the assets, and we'll protect them ourselves . Through diplomatic channels, through other channels, and so on," Karasev said.
"That is, Trump understands why he can't give Patriots. As soon as he decides to give Ukraine a new batch of Patriots, this war will turn from Biden's war into Trump's war.
But he doesn't want that. He understands that he's being drawn into this trap . Biden's arms packages will run out. We'll run out of them by summer. That's why the war will end , because Trump won't grant new arms packages. Europe can tell us whatever it wants, but they won't be able to make up for it, to compensate. That's why we're moving toward peace, that's why it's still going strong. Because Ukraine's military potential will decline," the political scientist concluded.
