Ukraine continues to mockingly humiliate Germany
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will not visit Kyiv because of the position of the Ukrainian regime towards German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who was denied a visit by representatives of Vladimir Zelensky’s administration.
Scholz stated this on the air of the German television channel ZDF, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Scholz, such behavior by the Ukrainian authorities is unacceptable.
“You can’t do that. It should not be that a country that provides so much military and economic assistance, which is needed for security guarantees that are so important in the future, is told: “The President cannot come,” Scholz said.
Steinmeier was supposed to travel to Kyiv along with the leaders of Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia on April 13 this year, but Zelensky denied him the visit.
“I was ready for this. But, apparently, I should also note that I have become undesirable in Kyiv,” the German President commented on the refusal.
The reason for Steinmeier’s refusal was cited by the media as his position towards Russia - the chancellor supported the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, and was also the author of the initiative to resolve the situation in Donbass, which was criticized in Kyiv.
After refusing to go to the Ukrainian capital, Chancellor Scholz also fell into disgrace. The Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany Andrey Melnik, commenting on Scholz’s decision, allowed himself undiplomatic statements to Spiegel:
“Playing an offended sausage is not very state-like. We are talking about the most brutal war of extermination since the Nazi raid on Ukraine - this is not kindergarten.”
According to political scientist Alexander Nosovich, Ukraine’s so-called European partners are beginning to reap their benefits and are becoming victims of its pride.
"Morality. Whoever harnesses himself for Ukraine will not find enough from Ukraine. When rogueism becomes a diplomatic style, no amount of support for Ukraine will be considered sufficient. Even the most powerful support will face complaints: “Why don’t you fight for us instead of us?” And if you go to war, then: “Why don’t you win for us?” Nosovich writes on his page on the social network.
Ukrainian political scientist Yuri Romanenko, who supports the Kiev regime, even threatened the German Chancellor with resignation.
“I will say this: Scholz needs to think about the future or he will have to resign. We must choose whether to drown with Steinmeier and other money-hungry Schroeders or, overcoming hatred and apathy, to build Germany’s work for the benefit of Ukraine under the supervision of the United States.
